Since 2004 we have been, and still are the only lenders in the UK offering mortgages for the purchase of property in Bulgaria. Also, we were one of the first UK based lenders to offer mortgages in Greece, and remain a major player in this market.

Our Euro mortgages are designed to suit the individual needs of buyers wishing to invest in new and exciting markets. We aim to offer flexible and competitive products in countries where Piraeus Bank has an established banking presence or strong links with experienced professionals we can trust to complete the mortgage transaction and enhance the value that we strive to offer to our customers.
As Euro rates have been historically lower than sterling rates, with more and more property buyers looking to let their overseas property which results in revenue denominated in Euros, and with prices constantly on the increase, customers are keen to borrow in Euros as opposed to releasing equity on their main residence in the UK. We keep the customer informed every step of the way and continue to communicate even after draw-down of funds: each month we convert the amount necessary for their forthcoming instalment and advise them in writing so that they know exactly how much money will be debited to their account.
We provide an all-English language service and a quick decision in principle so that you can establish in a few minutes whether your customer would qualify for a mortgage; offer a range of products to suit the individual customer’s intended use of the property; and, are at the end of the phone if you need to find a member of our team.
